Young Voting in Texas Spikes 508%

Oh, man. It wasn’t so long ago that we were lamenting that young people simply don’t vote — especially in Texas.

Now comes news that voting among the young in Texas has spiked 508% compared to the 2014 mid-terms.

Part of that might be Beto O’Rourke getting more people involved.

Part of that might be Donald Trump scaring the jeepers out of young voters.

There’s no telling what will happen on Tuesday when polls close for the final time and newscasts begin to report on who has won and who has lost.

But the most recent polls show Beto only about 3 or 4 points behind Ted Cruz. One great way to make up those 3 or 4 points is for so many more young voters to turn out than pollsters accounted for when weighing their responses.

This thing is winnable. Can you imagine: A DEMOCRATIC senator from Texas. If you haven’t voted, it’s time to vote — and make sure to take a friend with you.
