James Talarico was one of the most impressive and talented Democratic candidates I met this election cycle. During his stump speech, he quoted from the Bible, he told stories from his days as a middle school teacher in San Antonio, and he captured the attention of everyone in the room that night at Scholz Garten.
In November, James Talarico was elected to represent Texas House District 52, which covers portions of Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto and Taylor. He replaces Republican Larry Gonzales, who resigned this summer.
